Competitive advantages and design features
- TKA sets are stationary units arranged in a machine hall on a concrete foundation;
- TKA 250/9 – three-shaft, two-rotor and three-stage compressors;
- TKA 130/9 and 80/9 – two-rotor and four-stage compressors;
- Basic units of the set are a turbo-compressor unit, air-coolers which arranged on the same frame and connected by the aid of connecting piping, and devices of lubrication system .
- Lubrication system of TKA 250/9, is in a separate module. Modules of the set are arranged on zero level of the foundation;
- AC drive motor (6 or 10 kV, 50Hz) sets up on a concrete pedestal of the foundation. The motor is connected with the driving shaft of compressor by tooth-type clutch. Multi-shaft design combines compressor’s parts and gear trains inside the single casing;
- Compressor’s rotors are integrated with the gear trains. Spline connection of the shafts and the impeller ensures secure fixation without additional stresses;
- There are high-pressure axial-radial close impellers in the compressors. High-quality alloyed steel of impellers enhances the service life of rotors;
- Thrust collars on rotors together with tilting pad bearings ensure a steady position of the rotor during start up and operation period providing a low level of vibration;
- Compressors are provided by pivoted inlet-regulating vanes (IRV). Wide-range control of compressor’s capacity ensures high efficiency.
- Construction units provide the ability to perform daily forced stops.
- Simplicity of multi-shaft design and minimal space occupied by movable parts serve as a guarantee of high reliability and long working life of the set.
- Large area of cooling surface in air-coolers increases inter-repair periods.
- Single casing for the compressor parts and the gear trains ensures compactness of the set. Compactness and modularity reduces to a minimum the area occupied by the set and costs of its instalation.
- Horizontal split of the casing, comparatively small dimensions and weight of basic sub-assemblies ensures easy access and makes the maintenance as a simple process.
